Frequently asked questions
What is this initiative about?
Our initiative provides online medical consultations and support for doctors and patients in crisis and low-resource settings. We connect specialists from around the world to assist with diagnosis, treatment planning, and medical decision-making.
Who can use your services?
We primarily support:
Local doctors and healthcare workers who need specialist input
Patients in underserved areas who have limited access to qualified medical care
Which medical specialties do you cover?
We currently offer consultations in dermatology, pediatrics, gynecology & obstetrics, internal medicine, and rehabilitation after trauma. We also have a “Specialty-on-Demand” Telegram bot for cases that require other experts like cardiologists, neurologists, or surgeons.
How do people request a consultation?
Consultations are handled through our groups. A patient or local doctor can send a case description (and images or reports, if available) to the relevant specialty group. A volunteer specialist will review and respond with advice.
Is the service free?
Yes. All consultations and guidance provided by our initiative are completely free of charge. Our mission is humanitarian — to ensure that cost is never a barrier to care.
Telehealth may be new for some, so we've created this page to answer common questions simply. Whether you're a patient, doctor, or volunteer, find the latest info and links below to learn more about the service and how to contact us.
How do you ensure patient privacy?
We request that all shared information is limited to what’s necessary for the case, and we remind everyone to avoid posting full names or personal identifiers. Our groups follow strict confidentiality guidelines.
Can specialists volunteer with your initiative?
Absolutely! We welcome doctors, consultants, and other healthcare professionals who want to contribute their expertise remotely. Volunteers can join one or more specialty groups and provide guidance as cases arise.
Do you also provide training?
Yes. Beyond consultations, we offer training sessions, webinars, and educational resources for local healthcare workers—helping them manage cases more confidently in low-resource environments.
